What Is The Function Of A Nervous System ?

The nervous system has the most important function of controlling the functions of all the other organs in the body. If there is no nervous system, then there would not be a human being. Problems associated with the nervous system are always considered serous by the doctors.

The nervous system performs a plethora of functionalities in the human body. Most of the organs of the human body depend on the nervous system for receiving information that they can act upon. Even if you have to move a little finger on your hand, the nervous system has to give orders. So, it is the main circuit board of the body.

The human sense organs provide the nervous system with the necessary information and the nervous systems process it and send back the answers. This is a continuous process that takes place in the body. The information is carried out in the body in the form of electric signals. The electric signal travels through nerves and neurons. The nervous system has three integral parts that carry out their own functionalities. But all the three systems coordinate with each other and carry out the tasks in tandem.

The central nervous system comprises of the brain and the spinal cord. It carries out nerve impulses and analyzes the data related to the sensory organs. The signals are carried out through the network of nerves connected to the spinal cord.

The peripheral nervous system is responsible for carrying the nerve signal to and from the body. It carries out instructions for several musculoskeletal parts including the cranium and the skull.

The autonomous nervous system regulates and coordinates with all the vital organs of the body.
